Environmental Impact

We’re proud to have achieved carbon neutrality under ISO 14068-1, marking a significant step forward in our long-term commitment to responsible and transparent climate action. For the period April 2024 to March 2025, our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were fully measured in line with ISO 14064-1 and independently compiled by MyCarbon, with 118 tCO₂e of residual emissions offset to meet the standard’s requirements.

We’re continuing to reduce emissions across our operations, improve data quality for Scope 3, and strengthen our carbon management plan as we work toward true net zero by 2050. Offsetting remains a short-term measure, not a substitute for long-term emission reductions, and we remain committed to driving those reductions year on year.

Social Value & Inclusion

We champion positive social impact through the Social Value Quality Mark framework. Our commitments span health & wellbeing, education, volunteering, community partnerships, environmental impact, and inclusive hiring.

With initiatives like charity fundraising, student placements, and local volunteering, we aim to lead by example. We’ve also increased female representation and offer flexible working to support work-life balance.

How is carbon reporting handled for a completed renewable energy installation?

After installation, we deliver detailed carbon reports, showing embodied carbon (i.e. emissions from materials, manufacture, construction) and ongoing operational carbon savings. Our O&M clients continually receive bespoke reporting based on site performance and usage data.

What is embodied carbon and why does it matter in a renewable energy project?

Embodied carbon is the total greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing, transporting, assembling, and installing system components (e.g. panels, supports, inverters). Minimising these emissions is key to ensuring the net carbon benefit of the project is maximised over its lifetime.

What costs are involved in reducing a company’s carbon footprint using renewable technologies?

Costs vary by technology, system size, site conditions, grid connection, and carbon reporting complexity. In addition to capital investment in renewables, there may be consultancy, engineering, integration, and maintenance costs. EvoEnergy aims to offer competitive pricing and low-carbon footprints in all proposals.

How long does it take for carbon reduction projects to become effective?

The timeline depends on the scale and complexity of the solutions. For many projects, the design, permitting, and procurement phase can take several months, while construction may take weeks. Carbon benefits begin accruing once systems are operational and continue over the lifetime of the installation.

What maintenance is required to ensure ongoing carbon savings?

To maintain performance, systems require regular inspections, cleaning, software updates, inverter servicing, and monitoring. Good O&M ensures that expected energy yields (and, hence, carbon reductions) are sustained over the years.

What tools can businesses use to estimate their carbon savings before committing?

EvoEnergy provides a Solar PV carbon offset calculator tool. By inputting roof size (or other parameters), you can get estimates of system size, anticipated energy output, cost savings, and projected carbon reduction.
